Product Description

The STIHL RS 70 RC-E is a petrol brushcutter, which is ideal for mowing large areas of tough grass as well as being great around obstacles such as bushes, shrubs, fences, etc.

Starting this machine is both easy and reliable due to its ErgoStart system, which decreases the effort required to start in half, as well as the simplified starting system on the handle, and the manual fuel pump.

The engine itself is optimally constructed for maximal power while still being low-weight. Compared to regular 2-stroke engines, it also consumes 20% less fuel and produces significantly less exhaust emissions.

Also, this brushcutter is highly manoeuvrable due to its ergonomically designed loop handle and optimally balanced build. The multi-function control handle also provides all controls within easy reach, meaning that you never have to take your hand off the handle.

STIHL brushcutters are built upon extensive experience in the industry. That’s why this FS 70 RC-E features:

  • 2-stroke engine with stratified charge (20% lower fuel consumption and lowered emissions)
  • STIHL ErgoStart (cuts effort required to start in half)
  • Manual fuel pump (reduces number of starting strokes)
  • Multi-function control handle
  • Loop handle (ideal for confined areas)
  • A harness (for support during long work periods)

Reduced-emission engine technology

2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in more power with a lower weight, up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

Manual fuel pump (purger)

A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.

Stihl ergostart (E)

A genuine advance in easy starting. STIHL ErgoStart (E) cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. All it takes is 2 fingers and a gentle pull action.

Features in depth

Simplified starting system

Simply set the choke, pump the fuel primer, pull the starter core and away you go! The running machine then switches off after a brief press of the stop button. Once the machine is at a standstill, the ignition activates again automatically. Thus the ignition is always ready for starting.

Loop handle (R)

The loop handled grass trimmers and brushcutters are ideal for working in areas where space is limited, e.g. thinning between bushes and shrubs.

Multi-function control handle

Easy, comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator's hand never leaves the handle.

Basic harness

For use with loop handle machines.
