Product Description

The STIHL HSA 66 cordless hedge trimmer has a 20" / 50 cm blade length and is ideal for both professional gardeners and landscapers as well as private garden owners.

It runs on an efficient electrical motor, which is both lightweight, produces little noise, and generates ample cutting performance. This means that it is easy to use while maintaining a constant stroke rate on tough vegetation.

This is aided by the blade’s wide tooth spacing and innovative droplet-shaped cutter geometry, which holds leaves and branches in the teeth more effectively, enabling quicker and more powerful cuts.

The continuous run time of each of the AP batteries is also impressive (ranging from 72 minutes with the AP 100 to 180 minutes with the AP 300), which is more than enough for multiple rounds of garden tidying.

Being a cordless hedge trimmer, it also removes the hassle of tangled electrical cords, petrol fumes, and engine maintenance.

The STIHL brand is known for its high-quality, long lasting garden tools. That’s why this HSA 66 cordless hedge trimmer features:

  • An efficient STIHL electric motor (quiet, lightweight, and maintenance-free)
  • Great cutting performance (constant stroke rate on tough branches)
  • Wide tooth spacing and new droplet-shaped cutter geometry (quick and powerful cuts)
  • AP lithium ion battery compatible (impressive run times)
  • Tip protector (reduces risk of blade damage when used against walls or near the floor)
  • Safety locking button (prevents the risk of accidental starts)
  • Scabbard (for safety during transportation and storage)
  • Hanging eye (for convenient storage)

Blade tip protector

The HSA 66 is fitted with a tip protector to protect the blades from any damage when cutting near to the ground or along walls.

Hanging eyelet

The HSA 66 is easy to store as well as being easy to use - simply hang it in the garage or shed using the eyelet built in to the handle.

Innovative blade design

The droplet shaped blades on the HSA 66 serve two purposes - first, they guide branches between the teeth and hold them there whilst trimming for a precise finish on your hedge. Secondly, the droplet shapes give you integrated cut protection as they overlaps the working blades, to reduce the risk of the blades making contact with your leg.

Top Tips

Storing your HLA 56

Store your HLA 56 in a clean and dry area and keep out of the reach of children at all times. The shaft and blade on the HLA 56 can also be easily separated, without tools, for compact storage or transport.

Using the HSA 66

You will get a straighter cut on your hedges, if you move the hedge trimmer in an upwards motion when trimming. The HSA 66 has a handy tip protector at the end of the blades, so you can trim closer to the ground without damaging the blades.

Cleaning your HSA 66

When you have finished using the hedge trimmer, remove the battery and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. We also suggest spraying a little resin solvent, like STIHL Superclean, onto the blades to remove sap or resin, protect them from corrosion and stop them getting stuck together.

Looking after your battery

Don't use a damp or wet battery in your HSA 66 and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold).

Storing your HSA 66

Store your HSA 66 in a clean and dry area and keep out of the reach of children at all times. The HSA 66 has a handy eyelet on the handle so it can be hung on a hook in the shed.

Check for wildlife

Don’t forget to check your work area for wildlife before starting to use your tool. In particular, you should check for nesting birds before trimming hedges, as well as checking for other small animals such as hedgehogs before trimming long grass.
